| First Consumers National Bank/Card Processing Center Holding payments recieved on time to charge late fees! Hicksville New York |

I have a "non usable" Speigel/ Newport News card from FCNB/Card Processing Center. I have not been able to use this card for quite some time. Furthermore, I have to the best of my knowledge never been late with a payment. Last month I sent a payment on January 7th from the Post Office and low and behold it wasn't credited until January 20th. How convenient that it was due on the 19th. Therefore charging my "non account" $35.00. Since I have no way of disputing this charge for it's my word against the company's, I spoke with an individual at my local Post Office to ensure this would not happen this month. She assured me that it should never have taken that amount of time for them to recieve my payment from Canton, Ohio to New York. I mailed my February payment on February 7th which is due on February 19th, USPS Signature Confirmation with tracking in hopes that this does not occur again. It was worth the 5 plus dollars I paid and not have them charge me 35. In the mean time ruining my credit. I would like to pay this card off but will not in fear of the horror stories I have read on this website alone. If anyone has information, suggestions or a contact person to pay off my card please reply. The least they could do is lower the ridiculous interest rate they have imposed. I have recieved delivery confirmation and my payment was recieved on February 10th by "L. Burns" I can't wait to get my next statement! I hope this was just a fluke. Lisa Hartville, Ohio U.S.A.
