I had ordered a cell phone, didnt like the 1 I picked out so i returned it 3 days later now cingular is charging me the bill for a cell i havent had in my possession since 2006 of january they turned it over to a collections agency to collect on this bill. i have written to them explaining how can i be charged for a bill on a phone I dont have in my possession. they keep sending me collection notices and noone is responding to this.this is very discouraging. Judy, There are 2 issues here that probably got you into collections. The first being that a contract may have been broken, and the second is having proof that you sent it/took it back. What method did you use to send it back? Is it trackable? Or did you carry it in? If you carried it in, you should have gotten a reciept for the return.
